What would the iPod box look like if it was made from Microsoft? Well, let’s take a look:

Today, I woke up at 7 something, after staying up past 3am last night. So, with 4 hours of sleep, I starting working at 8 today. I along with two noobs, worked on flower beds and a garden. Sounds like an easy job, huh? Think again. We worked from 8-12 non stop, and then ate a wonderful lunch (hamburgers!) and then worked until 7, which was supper time. We ate fried chicken from Golden D’Lite which was awesome as usual. I am now really sore and hate manual labor in all forms. This is what robots are for, not people, and is especially not for over weight teenagers who do web design for a living.

So, yeah. Microsoft announced their Ultra-Media PC (UMPC for short) today and the only thing I have against it is it’s retarded name. Who names a product with wulta in it? That’s so stupid, it’s something you’d see in a crappy hacker movie. Oh well, the devices is awesome.
The UMPC is basicly a PDA that has a bigger screen. It reminds me of the screens they walked around with in Star Trek. This is the Asus R2H, the best looking, IMO:

Innovative Solution for a limitless tomorrow with built-in high-resolution webcam, integrated GPS, fingerprinter, SD Card reader, and Camera, the R2H is Asus’ ultra mobile PC (UMPC) that is designed to fulfill the increasing need for an all-in-one device that enables professionals to stay connected, productive and secured on the go. The R2H platform personifies mobility, security, ease of use, and reliability in a cool stylish design.
Here’s the Samsung Q1:

A revolution in the digital convergence era slim, sleek and shining through with features, the Samsung Q1 is designed to match the demands for high performance mobile computing and the desire for digital convergence. Featuring fully functional PC power, instant multimedia, car navigation and the latest wireless technologies, all displayed on a stunning 7” touch screen. And at <800 grams, you can take it everywhere and do everything. With the Samsung Q1, it’s not hard to imagine.
And last, but not least, the Founder Mini-Note:

China’s first Ultra Mobile PC. The Founder Mini-Note features a 7” WVGA screen, 30-60 GB 1.8” hard disk, integrated WiFi and Bluetooth, two USB2.0 ports, and weighs slightly over 800 grams. Founder is targeting both consumer and commercial segments with its 7” UMPC. On the consumer front, Founder is pursuing frequent travelers, students, and fashion conscious females by delivering a cool stylish design. On the business side, Founder is targeting automotive, healthcare, and banking. Additionally, this platform makes for a nice gift and is available from many gift giving stores.
The Founder Mini-Note has an impressive 1ghz Pentium M processor, but only 256mb of RAM. How lame. The Samsang Q1 and the Asus R2H both have 900mhz Pentium M processors and 500mb of RAM. The hard drives are okay sized, ranging from 30-40gb. The R2H has a built in camera, which is cool. So, I guess you can get one of these insted of a PDA.
