E3: Playstation 3

So, after being like 40 minutes late starting, the Sony conference started. They talked about some sales, told you stuff you already know/don’t care about, then got into the games. The one game I was most impressed with is “The Eye of Judgment”, and eyeToy game that reminded me of Yu-Gi-Oh!
The player places a card down, and the monster comes alive. Place another card down, it also comes alive, and you can battle. It’s really impressive, and looks like the augmented reality demo from 2004:

Here’s a photo of the game:

They showed alot of games, and then EA had it’s own part of it, and they actually did something good with a basketball game. They explained how they were able to make the players walk like humans instead of sliding retards. They also had a demo of Tiger Woods which made Tiger look gay.
The highlight would have to be the controller. I’ve been hyping the Wii because of the wireless motion sensing abilities. Well, wouldn’t you know it? Sony ripped the idea and the PS3 controller looks like a PS@ controller, only wireless. It’s Bluetooth powered and lighter than the PS2 controller.

Oh, one last thing. The price. It’s $500 for a 20gb hard drive version, and $600 for a 60gb hard drive. At that price, I don’t think Nintendo will have to worry about Sony stealing their concept. We all know Nintendo’s games will be more fun and creative than anything Sony will do.
So that wraps it up for today’s coverage. Nintendo’s conference is tomorrow, so check back for news on the Wii.
